Vidre was started by Alicia Grey, a jewelry maker and Earth lover. Alicia was inspired to start Vidre while visiting the Balearic Islands, where Catalan is spoken. Vidre is Catalan for glass. Originally Vidre only contained glass products, but has since produced jewelry in many different materials. Vidre remains the name to stay true to it’s history.
Our handcrafted products are made by hand by makers and artisans in the United States and around the world. Often, these are products made using slow processes and generations-old traditional techniques or art forms that are in decline or in danger of being lost forever.
